Banner attack

A banner advertisement is simply a graphic image that is displayed at the top of a website. Advertisers purchase the space from websites with similar content, and thus the same target audience, at a rate that is determined by the site displaying the ad. The cost of a banner advertisement depends on the more popularity of the website – sites with bigger traffic figures demand bigger bucks for advertising space.
